Frederick

Frederick

A parable

for children from 3 years

Duration approx. 45 minutes without a break

Director: Maike Jansen and Stefan Ferencz

"Once upon a time..." is the gateway to thousands of stories.

Every evening the old mouse begins to write poetry for the mouse children. In the evening silence and darkness of the mouse burrow, he tells about Frederick the little mouse.

In an atmospheric arc of pictures, the "mobile theater pohyb's and consorts" picks up on the moods and situations from Lionni's illustrations and texts and turns them into lively scenes. A varied arc of scenes of liveliness and humor, creativity and poetry emerges, which also appeals to the senses. Physical game with elements of slapstick and clowning that doesn't need too many words.
